Lott Backs Juiced TV for Better Kids' Hospital Stay

The Lott

"Made by the kids in hospital, for the kids in hospital," was coined by Juiced TV just over a decade ago from a simple idea: creating a weekly TV show filmed at the Queensland Children's Hospital, starring young patients. The purpose is to allow kids to be seen, heard, and celebrated as they embark on their healthcare journey.

In 11 years of Juiced TV, the team have developed 1,300 episodes, interacted with over 8,220 patients and their families, as well as garnered 8.5 million+ views.

Today, we have announced a $300,000 contribution thanks to Golden Casket unclaimed prize money to Juiced TV, helping expand their storytelling platform and entertainment experiences to more kids on a healthcare journey across seven regional hospitals in Queensland.

This expansion is part of Juiced TV's exciting next chapter as they grow their reach and impact, providing entertainment and health literacy education for children and young people across the state. All the fun can be watched via The Juiced App, a child-friendly platform that can be accessed anytime, anywhere.

Juiced TV Founder Pip Forbes said this latest donation from The Lott would be fundamental in expanding their core services, while also supporting the delivery of the Juiced TV service across Queensland hospitals.

The Lott by Golden Casket Partnerships Manager Liz McPherson added that this donation would create better social outcomes for young patients.

"The hospital journey can be daunting for any young child, but Juiced TV helps normalise those experiences through joy and distraction. We are thrilled to amplify their impact on more children across Queensland," she said.

If you also want to make the hospital journey better for kids, grab a Play For Purpose charity raffle ticket in support of Juiced TV. Not only will 50 per cent of your ticket go towards enhancing the emotional and social wellbeing of young people in hospital, but you can also go in the draw to win a First Prize Pack!
