The countdown is on for one of Australia's most iconic motorsport events, the Tatts Finke Desert Race -, as competitors and fans prepare to descend on Alice Springs for a high-octane celebration of outback racing.
Held over two adrenaline-fuelled days, this legendary off-road race sees motorbikes, cars, buggies, and quads take on 226 kilometres of rugged terrain, journeying from Alice Springs to the remote Aputula (Finke) community and back again.
What began in 1976 as a friendly 'there and back' ride for local motorbike enthusiasts has since evolved into an internationally renowned race - widely regarded as one of the toughest desert challenges in the world.
Now in its 48th year, the Tatts Finke Desert Race continues to be a source of local pride and national excitement - and for the 26th year running, The Lott by Tatts NT is proud to stand behind it as naming rights sponsor.
Liz McPherson, Partnership Manager for The Lott by Tatts NT, said the organisation is thrilled to continue its long-standing support of the event.
"We're incredibly proud to be part of something that means so much to the Alice Springs community and beyond," she said.
"For more than two decades, we've seen first hand how the Tatts Finke Desert Race brings people together - not just competitors and fans, but volunteers, families, and businesses - all playing a role in making this event what it is today. It's more than a race; it's a celebration of resilience, community spirit, and adventure."
President of the Tatts Finke Desert Race, Antony Yoffa, reflected on the strength of the partnership.
"When I joined the committee back in 2000, The Lott by Tatts NT had just come on board," he said.
"Now, 26 years later, the partnership remains as strong as ever. Their continued support has helped shape this race into the world-class event it is today."
As engines rev and excitement builds, the Tatts Finke Desert Race continues to be a powerful force for connection and community in Central Australia - and The Lott by Tatts NT is proud to be riding alongside it every step of the way.
