Conservative Party leader Cory Bernardi says he will back Scott Morrison's complete tax reform policy and if Labor doesn't it will be consigned to the opposition benches for a very long time.

At issue at the federal election was whether the role and size of government should expand, with more spending for instance on health and education, as proposed by Labor, or remain much the same, as proposed by the Coalition.
Aware that significantly higher taxes would have to be paid to achieve Labor's bigger government objective, the electorate favoured the Coalition.
