A Liverpool woman says her Instant Scratch-Its win felt like a gift from above after a string of events led her to the golden ticket worth $10,000 a month for the next two years, equalling $240,000.
Her top prize-winning $5 Live The Life Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased from Moore St Newsagency, 64 Moore Street, Liverpool.
When we called the gleeful winner, she was still reeling in disbelief, admitting she had almost missed out on her newfound fortune.
"Thank you. I'm over the moon!" she exclaimed.
"It was honestly the biggest shock. The funny thing is there were a few sliding door moments, and it felt like my grandma, who has passed, was looking down and taking care of me.
"Firstly, I was feeling unwell and almost didn't go to work but something pulled me to go. Then, when I did go to the newsagency that day, I'd walked out without a ticket, but I had a feeling to go back.
"I usually get an Instant Scratch-Its ticket once a week but don't normally go for the Live The Life ones, so it's just funny how it all worked out."
With $10,000 a month set to hit her account for the next two years, the winning woman shared she planned to stay grounded.
"It's come at such a great time! We're certainly not going to be silly with it," she said.
"We'll put it towards a house, and we'd love to book a much-needed holiday.
"Thank you so much. It's fantastic!"
Moore St Newsagency owner Ken Vuong said he was delighted to sell a top prize-winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
