When we called the North Queenslander this morning, she was overwhelmed with emotion as she spoke about closing the chapter on her decades-long career.
"Are you serious? Oh my god. I'm shaking. I'm just at work," she cried.
"I've been visualising myself winning for years and years. I was even doing my groceries over the weekend, and I saw a poster for Saturday Gold Lotto, and I thought, 'Wouldn't that be nice?'."
Alongside early retirement, the newly made multi-millionaire is already planning a well-deserved holiday.
"You know I haven't been on a holiday for over 10 years," she laughed.
"This means so much to me. I always read the winner stories on the website, and I just think, 'Isn't that amazing?'. Now I'll see my own story.
"I can't believe I can retire. What wonderful news. Thank you so much."
