At approximately 0353hrs on the morning of Monday 24th October 2016 Tasmania Police and the Tasmania Fire Service attended a report of a house fire at 374 Back River Road, Magra, Tasmania Police say.
As a result of the fire, the house was destroyed. A preliminary investigation was conducted by Tasmania Fire Service and Police at the scene. Whilst the exact cause is yet to be determined, the matter is now being treated as suspicious.
No one was injured as a result and the approximate value of the damage caused to the residence is $100,000.
