Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives investigate fatal crash at Rosedale

Major Collision Investigation Unit (MCIU) detectives are investigating after an off-road buggy rolled at a property in Rosedale on Saturday afternoon.

Investigators were told five girls, two boys and a man aged in his 30's were in the buggy when it rolled in a paddock just off Dennison Road shortly after 4pm.

A six-year-old girl was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries but sadly died from her injuries.

A four-year-old girl was also airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

Five other children were assessed by paramedics and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers will guard the scene overnight and MCIU detectives will return to the scene tomorrow to continue the investigation.
