Port Macquarie Hastings Council's latest Major Events Grants are now open, supporting events that attract visitors, boost the local economy and showcase the very best of our region.
Grants of up to $5,000 are available for eligible events to be held between 1 January and 30 June 2027, with applications open until Sunday 13 September 2026.
Port Macquarie Hastings Mayor Adam Roberts said the program continued to support event organisers in growing events that delivered lasting economic and community benefits.
"Major events play an important role in our local economy, bringing visitors to our towns and villages, supporting local businesses and showcasing everything that makes the Port Macquarie Hastings region such a great place to visit," Mayor Roberts said.
"If you have a major event idea that highlights the best of our region, then I encourage you to apply."
The Major Events Grants program provides funding for event-related expenses and marketing activities that help attract visitors from outside the region, including website development, advertising, social media campaigns, photography, videography, and professional marketing support.
Council delivers two Major Events Grant rounds each year, alongside year-round Quick Grants of up to $1,000 for eligible events. The program supports events with the potential to attract overnight visitors, contribute positively to the local economy and grow into sustainable, ongoing major events.
Applicants are encouraged to review the program guidelines, prepare the required supporting documentation, including an event budget and marketing plan, before submitting their application.
