Man airlifted to hospital after Cockatoo stabbing

Police have arrested two men following a serious assault in Cockatoo overnight.

It's believed four men were involved in the Boronia Crescent incident in which a man was stabbed just before 11.30pm.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are still being established.

The victim, who is aged in his 50's and was airlifted to a Melbourne hospital, is now believed to be in a non-life threatening condition.

Another man was taken by road ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.

Two men, aged 21 and 26-years, were arrested nearby and are currently assisting police with their enquiries.

Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives are not looking for anyone else in relation to the investigation at this time.
