Police investigating the indecent assault of a girl at a gaming arcade in Sydney's CBD have arrested a man.
About 2.10pm yesterday (Sunday 27 January 2019), an 11-year-old girl was in a gaming arcade in a shopping centre on Hay Street, Haymarket, when she was approached by an unknown man.
Investigators been told the man indecently assaulted the girl before she told family members who alerted police, however, the man had left the scene.
Detectives from Sydney City Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the incident, releasing CCTV images of a man they believe could assist with inquiries.
About 10.10am today (Monday 28 January 2019), a 51-year-old man was arrested at a shopping centre on Darling Drive, Darling Harbour, and has been taken to Day Street Police Station.
Inquiries are continuing.
