Man arrested after assault in Thredbo

A man has been arrested after an assault at an alpine resort in Thredbo this morning, NSW Police say.

About 10am today, police will allege a 51-year-old man, dressed in a costume, repeatedly struck a staff member with a snowboard at the Alpine Way resort in the Kosciusko National Park.

The staff member, a 55-year-old man, suffered facial and dental injuries.

Police attached to the Monaro Local Area Command attended and arrested the 51-year-old man.

He was taken to Jindabyne Police Station where he is assisting with police enquiries.
