Man Arrested After Crashing Into Mudgee Police Station

A man has been arrested after he allegedly crashed into a police station after driving at several police officers in the state's central west this afternoon.

About 1.30pm today (Friday 29 May 2026), officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District were patrolling on foot on Market Street, Mudgee, when a utility allegedly drove at the officers.

Officers attempted to stop the driver; however, he allegedly failed to follow police directions and left the scene.

The driver – a 67-year-old man – then allegedly drove at another police officer before crashing into the front of a police station on Market Street, Mudgee.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

Police arrested the 67-year-old man at the station where inquiries are ongoing.
