Man arrested after multi-vehicle crash in Windsor

Police have arrested a man following a multi-vehicle crash in Sydney’s north-west this morning, NSW Police say.

Just after 10am (Friday 5 October 2018), emergency services were called to Hawkesbury Valley Way, near George Street, at Windsor, following reports of a crash involving a truck and two cars.

Officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command established a crime scene with Crash Investigation Unit officers investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The driver and passenger of a Kia sedan, a 47-year-old man and a 97-year-old woman, were airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Another passenger in the Kia, a 43-year-old woman, was taken to Westmead Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of a Toyota Yaris sedan, a 48-year-old woman, and a passenger, a 65-year-old man, were not injured.

The truck driver, a 35-year-old man, was not injured and was taken to Hawkesbury Hospital for mandatory testing.

He was then arrested and taken to Windsor Police Station.

As inquiries continue, anyone with information is urged to come forward.
