Man arrested after pedestrian collision in Casula

Police have arrested a man after a pedestrian collision in Casula last night, NSW Police say.

About 11.10pm (Friday 30 March 2018), officers from Campbelltown Police Area Command were patrolling on Camden Valley Way, Casula, when a man was seen running from the area.

Officers pursued the man on foot for a short distance.

He was seen running south across six lanes of traffic on Camden Valley Way, before he ran into an oncoming police vehicle on Campbelltown Road.

Officers arrested the 20-year-old man at the scene.

He was treated for minor injuries at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to Liverpool Hospital where he remains under police guard.

Inquiries into the incident are continuing.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
