A man has been arrested following an incident on Sydney’s northern beaches this afternoon, NSW Police say.
About 2.45pm today, emergency services were called to North Steyne, Manly, following reports of malicious damage and a man harassing people.
Officers from Northern Beaches Local Area Command attended and located a man in the water at North Steyne.
With the assistance of a jet ski, the man, believed to be aged in his late 20s, was returned to the beach at Freshwater.
He was arrested and taken to Manly Hospital for assessment under police guard.
Inquiries are ongoing.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
