An Aldinga Beach man will face court following a police pursuit through the southern suburbs in a stolen car, according to SA Police.
Just before 5pm on Sunday 8 April, a police patrol spotted an allegedly stolen white Ford Territory on South Road at Old Reynella.
The patrol attempted to stop the vehicle, but the male driver and sole occupant refused and the stolen car continued north on South Road.
The stolen car then travelled west on Majors Road at O’Halloran Hill, then to Brighton Road and through suburbs of Seacliff, Brighton, Seacombe Heights, Warradale and eventually stopping on Whyte Road at Somerton Park where the driver was arrested, after the Ford Territory suffered mechanical problems.
The driver, a 37-year-old man was arrested and charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle, drive to evade police and driving while suspended.
He has been refused police and will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court tomorrow.
The Ford Territory which was stolen from Marion on Friday 6 April, needed to be towed from the scene.
There were no injuries in the incident.
