Man arrested after stabbing in Berala

A man has been arrested following a domestic-related stabbing at Berala tonight, NSW Police say.

Just after 6pm (Saturday 22 December 2018), emergency services were called to a unit on Lidbury Street, following reports of a man was injured.

Police have been told two men – aged 22 and 68 – were involved in a verbal argument, before the younger man stabbed the older man.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for lacerations to his arm, hand, leg and neck, however, he was not taken to hospital.

A third man was present but was not injured.

Officers from Auburn Police Area Command attended and arrested a 22-year-old man.

He was taken to Auburn Police Station where he is assisting with inquiries.
