A man has been arrested after attempting to evade police at Whyalla.
Local patrols attended a Wattle Street home in Whyalla Stuart just after 9am on Wednesday 23 September to locate a man wanted on a warrant and for outstanding offences.
As officers approached the address, the man allegedly ran from police and climbed into the ceiling space before gaining access to the roof.
Realising he was surrounded by police, the man climbed down and was arrested without incident.
Police also allegedly located a stolen motor scooter at the address, which was seized and towed for forensic examination.
A 22-year-old Whyalla Stuart man was charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle, driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle, and driving unlicenced. He did not apply for bail and will appear in the Whyalla Magistrates Court on Thursday.
