Detectives from the Sexual Crimes Squad have today arrested a man as part of their investigation into an alleged sexual assault in North Melbourne in 2013, Victoria Police say.
A 34-year-old Reservoir man was arrested in Reservoir just after 1pm.
He is currently in custody, assisting police with their enquiries.
A 37-year-old woman was also arrested at the property. She is expected to be interviewed in relation to perjury and false alibi offences.
Earlier this month a $500,000 reward was announced for information in relation to the incident, which is alleged to have occurred on 30 June, 2013.
