Police have arrested a man following a fatal hit-run in Traralgon last night, Victoria Police say.
It’s understood a woman was struck by a vehicle on an Airfield Road property shortly before 8.30pm.
The vehicle involved initially left the scene.
The woman, a 46-year-old from Traralgon, died at the scene.
Police arrested a 53-year-old Traralgon man shortly after the incident and he is currently being interviewed.
It is believed at this stage that parties are known to each other.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be established and the investigation is ongoing.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
