Man arrested following reports of shots fired in Shoalhaven

A man has been arrested following an incident in the Shoalhaven tonight, NSW Police say.

About 6pm (Sunday 31 December 2017), police from Shoalhaven Local Area Command responded to reports of what was believed to be shots fired at a property in Morton.

While a perimeter was being established at the location, officers stopped a man leaving the property in a vehicle.

A 52-year-old man driving the vehicle was arrested. Several items including, cannabis, knives and fireworks were located in the vehicle and seized by police.

A home on the property was also searched with nothing of interest located.

The man was breath tested at the scene and produced a positive reading.

He was taken to Ulladulla Police Station where he allegedly produced a breath analysis sample of 0.07 and is expected to be charged with low-range drink driving.

Investigations into the incident are continuing and further charges are expected.
