Man arrested following stabbing in Blacktown

A man has been arrested following a stabbing at Blacktown, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Patrick and Main streets about 2.20pm (Thursday 2 November 2017), where they found a man with a stab wound to his upper torso.

The 18-year-old was taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.

Officers from Blacktown Local Area Command established a large crime scene and commenced an investigation.

A short time later a man was arrested at a home in Blacktown. He is being taken to Blacktown Police Station.

Inquiries are continuing.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
