Man arrested for breach of bail at Para Hills West, SA

A man has been arrested during an investigation into domestic violence at Para Hills West, according to SA Police.

Officers from Holden Hill Family Violence Investigation team attended a Para Hills West address at 11.45am today for other matters and located a man at the premises in breach of his bail conditions.

The man fled and officers quickly set up cordons around the area. Police searched for the suspect with the assistance of Police Dog Ice, who located the man a short time later.

The 24-year-old eastern suburbs man was arrested and charged with breach of bail, assault and resist arrest. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Police warn they will not tolerate domestic violence and will take every action available to protect victims. Timely contact, support and referral for assistance is available to all domestic violence victims where patrols have arrested or reported the offender, irrespective of the level of risk.

Anyone experiencing domestic violence is encouraged to contact police immediately for assistance.
