Man arrested for drug trafficking in joint operation, South Australia

A man has been arrested after he was allegedly found with approximately 50kgs of cannabis secreted in his luggage at Adelaide Airport today.

Detectives from SA Police Drug and Organised Crime Taskforce attended at Adelaide Airport about 1.45pm on Thursday 20 December where they, with the assistance of Australian Federal Police and Australian Border Force, located about 50 kilograms of cannabis secreted in a man's luggage. The man was about to board a commercial flight to Brisbane with the luggage.

Police charged a 32-year-old man from Ormeau Hills, Queensland for trafficking a large commercial quantity of cannabis. The man was refused police bail and will appear before the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 21 December 2018.
