Elizabeth police have arrested a man for illegal use at Elizabeth Downs this morning, according to SA Police.
Just after 4am police were patrolling the Elizabeth Downs area after receiving reports of a petrol drive off from a near-by service station.
Police stopped and spoke with a male occupant who was sitting in a white Commodore sedan in Hamblynn Street.
Police conducted checks on the vehicle which showed that it had been stolen on Thursday 12 May from a Smithfield Plains address.
A 23-year-old man from Elizabeth East was arrested and charged with illegal use.
He has been bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 23 June.
