Man arrested on North Terrace, South Australia

A man has been arrested after a violent altercation on North Terrace this morning.

Police were called to North Terrace, Adelaide, opposite Victoria Street, just before 8am on Sunday 16 December, by reports of two men fighting.

One man sustained a minor stab wound to the back and was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment. His injury is not life-threatening.

A man aged in his 30s from the Northern Territory was arrested at the scene by police. He will be interviewed by Eastern District CIB detectives this morning and is expected to be charged over the assault.

Although this investigation is in its early stages, police are confident this was not a random incident and the two men are known to each other.
