Man arrested on Sydney arrival over car rebirthing

A man has been arrested over alleged vehicle re-birthing in Sydney’s south-west, NSW Police said.

Just before 9am on 1 October 2015, officers from Camden Local Area Command executed a search warrant at a property at Leppington.

With the assistance of detectives from State Crime Command’s Property Crime Squad and officers from Roads and Maritime Services, 25 stolen vehicles were identified on the property, with some being partially stripped, engines removed, or severely damaged.

About 9.10am 5 October 2015, a 48-year-old man was arrested on arrival at Sydney on an international flight and was taken to Mascot Police Station.

The Horningsea Park man is currently assisting with inquiries.
