Man arrested over assault at Angle Park, SA

A man was arrested after an assault at Angle Park last night, according to SA Police.

Police were called about 10.30pm on Sunday 2 September by reports of a fight outside a house in Killara Street, Angle Park. The crowd dispersed before the patrol arrived.

An 18-year-old man had sustained a laceration to the forearm and a broken thumb and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.

Following investigations, police attended a Renown Park address just before 2am.

An 18-year-old man from Renown Park was arrested and charged with aggravated assault cause harm. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today.

Both men are known to each other and this was not a random incident.
