Holden Hill CIB detectives today arrested a man over a break-in and assault at Highbury earlier this week, according to SA Police.
It will be alleged about 3.30am on Wednesday, the man was in company with another man when they broke into a house in Amber Drive, Highbury and assaulted the occupants.
Both victims received medical treatment for their injuries.
Following an investigation, detectives today arrested a 40-year-old man of no fixed address. He was charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, aggravated cause serious harm, aggravated cause harm, two counts of aggravated threaten life and theft.
He was refused police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 27 March.
Police do not believe this was a random attack. Investigations are continuing and detectives have positive lines of inquiry to identify and locate the second suspect.
