Man arrested over hit-and-run at Condell Park, NSW

Police have arrested a man over an alleged fatal hit-and-run at Condell Park last week, NSW Police say.

Just before 4pm on Wednesday 28 December 2016, emergency services were called to Clarence Street, Condell Park, where they found a 73-year-old man critically injured after being struck by a vehicle.

Police allege the driver did not stop.

The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics; however, he died on route to hospital.

Officers from Crash Investigation Unit have been investigating the incident and last night yesterday a van was seized from a business in Greenacre.

It has been taken for forensic examination.

This afternoon today, a 49-year-old man was arrested at a home in Greenacre.

He has been taken to Bankstown Police Station where he is assisting police with inquiries.
