Police have arrested a man following an assault at Norwood over the weekend, according to SA Police.

It is alleged that about 1.45am on Sunday 7 October police were called to a hotel on Portrush Road after reports of an assault.

Three men and a woman were punched, with two of the victims (man and woman) taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment. The male suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Today (Thursday 11 October) police arrested and charged a 28-year-old Tranmere man with three counts of assault and one count of assault causing harm.

He has been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 16 November.

Superintendent Craig Wall, officer in charge of Eastern District Police says, "Alcohol fueled violence is not acceptable, and everyone is entitled to enjoy a nightout without fear of being involved in an assault or aggressive altercation."
