Man assaulted in home invasion - Macquarie Fields

A man has been injured during a home invasion in Sydney's south-west overnight.

About 1.30am today (Friday 19 February 2021), three men wearing balaclavas broke into a house in Adam Place, Macquarie Fields.

The three men were holding knives and what appeared to be firearms. They demanded the two occupants give them money and drugs, but were told there was neither at the location.

One of the occupants was then punched and kicked by the men. They then caused damage to the house, before leaving with two gaming consoles.

The injured man was treated at the scene by paramedics for facial injuries and was later taken to Campbelltown Hospital.

Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command have commenced an investigation into the incident.
