A man will face court charged with drug offences following a vehicle stop in the states Riverina Region yesterday.
About 4.30pm (Monday 23 June 2025), officers attached to Riverina Traffic and Highway Patrol stopped a vehicle on the Hume Highway, South Gundagai, due to its manner of driving.
Police searched the vehicle and located just over 11 kilograms of cannabis within spare tyres, in the boot of the car.
The driver – a 26 -year-old man – was arrested and taken to Gundagai Police Station.
He was charged with supply cannabis greater than indictable and less than commercial quantity.
He was granted conditional bail to appear in Gundagai Local Court on Friday 18 July 2025.
