Man charged after a crash in Lidcombe

A man has been charged following a crash in Lidcombe overnight, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to Church Street, Lidcombe about 11.20pm last night today, following reports of a crash.

Police have been told that a blue Audi lost control and hit a power pole which caused the car to flip.

Officers from Flemington Local Area Command attended and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A 27-year-old woman was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken Westmead Hospital for the treatment of minor injuries.

The driver of the Audi, a 33-year-old man was subject to a breath test which allegedly returned a positive result.

He was arrested and taken to Auburn Police Station where he underwent a breath analysis which allegedly returned a reading of 0.144.

The man’s licence was suspended and he was charged with Mid-Range PCA.

He will appear before Burwood Local Court on Thursday 30 March 2017.
