Man charged after a loaded firearm located in Guildford

A man will appear in court today after a search was conducted at a home in Guildford yesterday, NSW Police say.

Detectives from the Cumberland Police Area Command went to a home in Excelsior Street, Guildford, about 6pm on Tuesday 9 October 2018, to arrest a man for alleged domestic violence offences.

Police searched the home and seized a loaded, shortened, double barrel shotgun and other weapons.

A 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Granville Police Station.

He was later charged with 8 offences including throw substance with intent to burn (DV), stalk/intimidate (DV), possess shortened firearm, possess ammunition, possess prohibited weapon (flick knife /knuckle dusters) and possess prohibited drug (cocaine)

The man was refused bail and will appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Wednesday 10 October 2018).
