Man charged after allegedly making threats in Hornsby

Police have charged a man after allegedly making threats against multiple police stations and courthouses from last month, NSW Police say.

Officers will allege that between Wednesday 24 February 2016 and Tuesday 19 April 2016, an unknown male made threats against Hornsby and Mt Druitt Police Station and Hornsby and Mt Druitt Local Courts.

As a result, court proceedings were suspended each time and NSW Police Force specialist units were deployed.

Following investigations, officers attached to Hornsby Local Area Command arrested the man at an address in Rydalmere yesterday.

He was taken to Parramatta Police Station where he was charged with five counts of use carriage service to threaten to kill.

The man was granted bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Thursday 12 May 2016.
