A man will face court today after four police officers was allegedly assaulted in Sydney's west.
Police will allege about 6:30pm yesterday (Friday 10 April 2026), officers attached to Northwest Metropolitan Operation Kella attended a home in Souter Place, Hebersham, to arrest a 19-year-old man wanted in relation to domestic violence offences.
During the arrest, the man has allegedly assaulted four male Constables.
Several family members allegedly attempted to hinder police and OC spray was deployed.
The man was taken to Mount Druitt Police Station, before being taken to Blacktown Hospital for assessment for injuries sustained during the arrest.
Around 2am today (Saturday 11 April 2026), the man was returned to Mount Druitt Police Station where he was charged with:
- Contravene ADVO
- Assault (DV)
- Resist officer in execution of duty
- Assault police occasioning actual bodily harm (three counts)
- Assault Police (one count)
He was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 6, today, Saturday 11 April 2026
All officers attended Blacktown Hospital and were treated for a range of injuries including a fractured orbital socket, fractured coccyx and bruising.
