A man will face court today after cash, tobacco and cigarettes were allegedly seized during a vehicle stop in the state's North West Slopes region yesterday.

Officers attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol Command were patrolling the Oxley Highway, around 15km east of Coonabarabran, around 1pm yesterday (Monday 27 April 2026), when they stopped a utility due to the alleged manner of driving and its number plates incorrectly displayed.

  • Possess tobacco commercial quantity and less than 10x commercial quantity (two counts),
  • Deal with property proceeds of crime less than $100,000 and less than $5000,
