Man charged after drugs and cash seized from car in West Dubbo

A man will face court today after police seized drugs and cash from a car in West Dubbo overnight, NSW Police say.

About 12.40am today, police saw a Holden utility allegedly speeding on the Newell Highway.

Officers followed the vehicle and stopped it in the car park of a fast food restaurant.

After speaking with the male driver and female passenger, police conducted a search of the vehicle, seizing 60 grams of methyl-amphetamine (ICE) from a void within the centre console.

Also seized was an amount of cash and drug paraphernalia.

The pair was arrested and taken to Dubbo Police Station, where the woman was released pending further inquiries.

The man was charged with possess prohibited drug, supply prohibited drug, and goods in custody suspected of being stolen.

He was refused bail, to appear before Dubbo Local Court today.
