Man charged after drugs and weapon seized in Armidale

A man has been charged after police seized drugs and a prohibited weapon at a caravan park in Armidale last week, NSW Police say.

About 10.50pm on Friday (8 July 2016), following investigations, officers from Armidale Target Action Group attended a caravan park in Armidale.

At the caravan park officers searched a car and a home, seizing drugs believed to be ‘ice’ and a throwing star.

The seized items will undergo forensic examinations.

A 37-year-old man was arrested and taken to Armidale Police Station where he was charged with breach weapons prohibition order, posses prohibited weapon, supply prohibited drug and possess prohibited drug.

He was refused bail and is due to appear at Armidale Local Court today.
