Man charged after filming women in Campbelltown

A man has been charged after police allegedly found several videos of women filmed without their consent on a phone in Sydney’s south-west, NSW Police say.

About 6pm yesterday, (Thursday 6 September 2018), officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command were patrolling a shopping centre on Gilchrist Drive, Macarthur, when they were alerted to a man allegedly acting suspiciously.

Officers spoke with the 20-year-old Gwynneville man, and seized his phone and laptop.

It will be alleged in court that the phone contained several videos filming women and girls without their consent, in locations throughout Campbelltown.

He was arrested and taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he was charged with 36 counts of filming private parts without consent and one count of behave in offensive manner in/near public place/school.

He has been granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on Monday 15 October 2018.
