Man charged after glassing incident in Granville

A man has been charged after an alleged glassing incident in Granville overnight, NSW Police say.

Just after 7pm today, emergency services were called to a home on Kemp Street, following reports of a domestic incident.

Officers from Rosehill Local Area Command attended and located a 59-year-old man with a laceration to his arm.

Police will allege the man was involved in an argument with a younger man, when he was struck with a glass cup.

The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Westmead Hospital to undergo surgery.

A 54-year-old man was arrested and taken to Parramatta Police Station where he was charged with reckless wounding (DV).

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court tomorrow.

The parties involved are known to each other.
