A man will face court today after police allegedly seized over 150 cannabis plants at a hydroponic house in the Blue Mountains yesterday. About 7.30am (Wednesday 7 February 2018), officers from Blue Mountains Local Area Command attended a home on Plateau Road at Springwood, following inquiries. Police will allege the property, had been converted into a hydroponic house. Following the arrest of a 33-year-old man, police executed a search warrant and allegedly seized 159 cannabis plants and 1.25kgs of loose cannabis, which have an estimated potential street value of over $450,000. The man was taken to Springwood Police Station and charged with enhanced indoor cultivation for commercial purpose, Organises/conducts/assists drug premises, found on/entering/leaving drug premises, and other enhanced drug cultivation offences. He was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court today (Thursday 8 February 2018).
