Man Charged After Sydney CBD Jewelry Heist

A man has been charged after an alleged robbery in Sydney's CBD earlier this week.

About 4.40pm on Tuesday 10 June 2025, emergency services were called to a jewellery store on Pitt Street, Sydney, following reports a man had allegedly threatened staff and forced them to open a safe before taking jewellery.

No one was injured during the incident.

Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command were notified and established a crime scene.

Following investigations, About 10.50am yesterday (Friday 13 June 2025), officers attended a unit on Kellick Street, Waterloo, where a search warrant was executed.

A 32-year-old man attended the unit while police were there, before running from the scene.

During the search warrant, items including 42 rings, a 'Glock' branded pistol, identification documents with numerous names, and a packet of BB gun pellets were located and seized.

About 3pm, the man returned to the premises where he was arrested and taken to Mascot Police Station.

He was charged with robbery and breach of bail and refused bail, to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 14 June 2025).
