Man charged after three litres of 'liquid ecstasy' seized in Darlinghurst

Police have charged a man with several drug offences after seizing more than three litres of ‘liquid ecstasy’ in Sydney’s inner city, NSW Police say.

Just before 7.30am today, officers attached to Kings Cross Local Area Command executed a search warrant at a unit on Victoria Street, Darlinghurst.

During the search police will allege to have located more than three litres of ‘liquid ecstasy’ (GHB), a small amount of methylamphetamine, ketamine and cannabis, all worth an estimated potential street value of $35,000.

Police also allegedly located several mobile phones, a laptop and large quantity of Viagra.

All items were seized and will undergo forensic testing.

A 63-year-old man was arrested at the unit and taken to Kings Cross Police Station where he was charged with supply commercial quantity of prohibited drug, supply indictable quantity, two counts of posses prohibited drug and deal with the proceeds of crime.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court tomorrow.
