Man Charged: Aggravated Break-In, DV Offenses, Pallamallawa

A man has faced court over an alleged aggravated break and enter and DV incident in the state's north on the weekend.

About 1.45pm Saturday 8 August 2026, officers attached to New England Police District were notified of an alleged domestic violence incident occurring at a house on Mosquito Creek Road, Pallamallawa, around 40km east of Moree.

Police were told a woman in her 30s had been inside the home about 10pm the day prior (Friday 7 August 2026), when a man – who is known to her – entered the residence and pushed the woman, causing her to hit her head.

Another person was inside the home at the time; no further injuries were reported.

About 2.30pm yesterday (Sunday 9 August 2026), police arrested a 37-year-old man at Moree Police Station.

He was charged with aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence - inflict actual bodily harm, stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic), assault occasioning actual bodily harm (DV), and contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (domestic).

The man was refused bail and appeared before Bail Division Court 5 today (Monday 10 August 2026), where he was formally refused bail to reappear before Moree Local Court on Monday 19 October 2026.
