Man charged as investigations by Strike Force Imbara continue

A man has been charged with several serious offences following investigations by Strike Force Imbarra into the activities of local street-level criminal networks.

In July this year, investigators from North West and South West Metropolitan Regions, the Police Transport Command, and being assisted by Strike Force Raptor, have been working together to further disrupt criminal activities and the anti-social and violent behaviour of these groups

Investigators are currently conducting inquiries into a number of assaults and other public acts of violence, which are believed to linked.

This includes a large brawl at a hotel at Mt Druitt on Wednesday 10 July 2019, in which two men were stabbed and another was hit by a vehicle.

About 10am yesterday (Monday 12 August 2019), a 22-year-old man attended Mount Druitt Police Station where he was charged with affray and being armed with intent (for an incident that occurred at an Auburn café on 18 June 2019); affray (for an incident that occurred at Guildford Railway Station 10 July 2019), riot and being armed with intent (x2) (for the incident that occurred at Mount Druitt).

He was refused bail and will appear in Mount Druitt Local Court today (Tuesday 13 August 2019).
