Man Charged - Attempted Armed Hold Up at Moonah

A 38 year old West Moonah man has been charged with attempted armed robbery following an investigation by Glenorchy Police. He will face the Hobart Magistrate's Court today at 10am.

Just after 3:00pm yesterday, police received a report of a man acting suspiciously on Main Road, Moonah. Shortly afterwards the male has entered a business on Main Road where he produced a knife and threatened the female staff member, demanding cash. Two members of the public were in the store at the time.

Members of Glenorchy Police who were in the area entered the store and found the male behind the register. He was compliant with police and arrested.

No one was physically injured during the incident.
