Man charged following indecent assault in libraries, NSW

Police have charged a man after allegedly indecently assaulting a number of women in libraries in the St George area earlier this month, NSW Police say.

The first incident occurred about 6.15pm on Friday 7 October 2016 at a library in Kogarah, where a woman was indecently assaulted while bending over to retrieve a book.

A similar incident occurred about 7.30pm on Monday 10 October 2106, at a library in Hurstville.

Officers attached to St George Local Area Command commenced an investigation into the incidents.

Following inquiries, a 38-year-old man attended St George Police Station just after 8am today. He was arrested and charged with two counts of assault with act of indecency.

The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Tuesday 8 November 2016.
