Man charged following investigations into break-ins in Strathfield

A man has been charged following investigations into multiple break-ins at Strathfield earlier this month, NSW Police say.

Police will allege on Tuesday 9 August 2016, a several units on Beresford Road and Margaret Street were broken into and property including cash, jewellery, cameras and a black Volkswagen Golf were stolen.

Police from Flemington Local Area Command commenced investigations into the incidents.

Following investigations, officers arrested a 30-year-old man at Auburn Police Station yesterday today.

He was subsequently charged with break, enter and steal (x2), break and enter and intent steal, malicious damage (x3), enter inclosed lands (x3), commit s114 offence having previous convictions, enter vehicle without consent, and take/drive vehicle without consent.

The man was refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court today tomorrow.
